Self Analysis: Are we really up to date?

Today we, the officers of Postmaster Cadre claim that we are the only cadre which can bring back the glory of India Post, we are technologically more advanced than other Postmasters, and we can administrate as well as manage our valued customers and subordinates better than other Postmasters and generating more revenues for the Department. Means we are better quality breed of Postmasters.

Are we really capable of all such qualities which should be in a manager of an institution?

The answer may be yes, some are really capable in all aspect, but some are good in administration but possessing lack of knowledge in technology and management, some are very sound in technological knowledge but lacking ability in administration and management etc.

So we have to find out the most suitable way to pull up those who need to gather such knowledge which they are lacking (administration/ management/ technology).

Since the time is survival for the fittest and also we have responsibility to bring back the glory of INDIA POST, therefore, we need suggestion(s) from all members to develop us upto the mark.

To continue our influence, to expand our cadre and dominate in the department, we need all the qualities in our officers of Postmaster Cadre.

Please mail your suggestion (s) to aiapcchq@gmail.com. Suggestions received from members will be consolidated and action will be taken accordingly.

Postmaster Cadre pays gratitude to the 7 CPC and the DOP

Dear POSTMASTERS!!!

It is a great celebratory moment to share with all of you that the Department of Posts has recommended Grade Pay Rs.4200/-, Rs.4600/- & 4800/- for Postmaster Grade-I, II & III respectively and have already sent its recommendations to the Ministry of Finance for approval. With our unity and oneness we have conquered one more milestone by requesting the DOP’s Pay Commission Implementation Cell to recommend our demands.

Although we demanded Rs 4600/-, Rs. 4800/- & Rs.5400/- as Grade Pay for Grade-I, II/III & Sr. PM respectively. On principle we demanded Rs 4600/- as Grade-I for PM-I as equal to IPs. It is our prolonged pending demand that Postmaster Grade-I & IP cadre should have equal grade pay as was in 4th CPC. It was not so easy. Consistent and persistent efforts of our restless team, series of letters and logical representations have made this history for our cadre. It is once again proved that unity is the only strength. Although our association is not yet recognized in the eyes of department, but our unity, faith, clear vision have done enough.

It is hard to make you realize how we approached towards 7th Central Pay Commission and submitted Memorandum for Postmaster Cadre. It was a great pleasure and proud moment when Postmaster Cadre was given a place just below Postal Board in its report. 7th CPC did not only hear our demands, but also recommended a lot to us for which we pay our gratitude to the 7th CPC. Please note that the DOP didn’t recommend anything for us to the 7th CPC initially. The Dept has started to think about us after the CPC’s report.  You may also review the flashback when the MOF invited comments of different Ministries/ Departments on the recommendations of the 7th CPC. Without recognition, our team led by the GS instantly reached at Dak Bhawan and spread out its righteous vision & demands in every corner of the Directorate. At this moment we are thankful to the DOP for favouring us in its recommendation to the MOF (PCIC).

We are thankful to all our members for their unity and timely suggestions given to us. We are especially thankful to AIAPC All India WhatsApp Group which is playing a tremendous role (24 x7) towards advancement of AIAPC in right direction. We, therefore, dedicate this remarkable success to the AIAPC All India WhatsApp Group.

Though this is being described as a great celebratory moment but we should not float on the foam as we still have to conquer many hurdles and obstacles. Main one is the case pending before the Hon’ble High Court. We don’t have any control over the proceedings of the hon’ble HC, but we are always have an eagle eye and in close touch to eliminate any possible delay in this regard and we strongly believe that we didn’t leave any space for the Addl. Solicitor General who is defending the case on behalf of the DOP.
We know that we will maintain the same unbreakable unity and receive valuable suggestions from all of our members in future too as many hurdles are yet to be  destroyed  and righteous demands to be fulfilled and accomplished.  So we would like to say, "Create the way with unity, to clear all the hurdles” Struggle is only solution, we will never give up........................AIAPC Jay Ho !!! Long Live AIAPC!!!
