The principle of Patience, Perseverance and Politeness is working for AIAPC. AIAPC too is going to participate in the meeting of the Committee constituted to examine the issues relating to the Postmasters Cadre at the Directorate on 20.12.2018

The Directorate is requested to issue necessary order to fill up the vacant posts of Postmaster Grade-II & III from their feeder cadres i.e. Postmaster Grade-I & II only: AIAPC letter to the Directorate

AIAPC has submitted reply against Directorate’s Letter No. 1-1/2018-SPB-II dated 17.10.2018 which was issued to AIAPC to make available of specific cases whose promotion were due by virtue of relaxation provided vide the Directorate letter dated 28.04.2016

Dear Postmasters! This is an appeal from AIAPC

Dear Postmasters,

In this DIWALI, AIAPC wishes a happy and prosperous future of all the Postmasters and their family members. This is for information of all that owing to OA No 1545 of 2017 filed before the Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh Bench, Cadre Restructuring of Postmaster Cadre is now in active stage. Because of OA No 1434 of 2017 filed before Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh Bench, the DOP has pleased to clarify that all the officials who were promoted to Postmaster Grade-I on the basis of the result of LDCE declared on 30^th June, 2011 and got posting order even in February, 2012, had completed 5 years service as on 01.04.2016 and became eligible for promotion by virtue of relaxation provided vide Directorate letter dated 28.04.2016.

So it is clearly visible that your own association has now started to gain benefits for Postmaster Cadre. However, a few direct benefits like one time relaxation, 3% increment have been achieved so far and a lot of benefits have to achieve in near future like ‘Distinct Category for Postmaster Cadre’ followed by recognition of your own association, Up-gradation of Pay, 100% posts of Sr Postmaster for Postmaster Cadre alone else right to write LDCE for PS Gr-B Examination under 19% quota & Sr PM under 75% quota, carving out of the Posts of Sr Postmasters from the posts PS Gr-B, immediate promotion of Grade-III Postmasters to the posts of Sr Postmaster under 25% quota, holding of LDCE for Postmaster Grade-I etc.

All of you are aware of the fact that due to such many legal battles huge amount is being incurred from our fund. Therefore, we appeal to all Postmasters to contribute to the fund of AIAPC generously with a view to strengthen the movement of Postmaster Cadre.

Cadre Restructuring of Postmaster Cadre

Dear Members,

This is for information of all  that OA No 1545 of 2017 seeking relief for early Cadre Restructuring of Postmaster Cadre is moving to come up for arguments (hearing) before the Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh Bench on 05/11/2018.

This is the only reason for such prompt activity of our esteemed Department during this month.

Our Circle leaderships are keeping close liaison with respective circles and  we are hopeful that the Heads of the Circles will sent positive comments related to our cadre. So friends, please wait and observe the proceedings with positive outlook.

One more legal battle initiated by AIAPC basically for parity in RR for PM Gr-II & Gr-III with that of HSG-II & HSG-I

Dear Members,

Hon’ble CAT, Chandigarh Bench OA No 1434/2017 was disposed of 04/12/2017 with directions to consider the representation of AIAPC dated 21.07.2016 by passing a reasoned and speaking order within  a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. Accordingly, the DOP issued such order on 09.02.2018 stating that there is no disparity for promotion of Postmaster Grade-I & II with that of LSG & HSG-II which in view of this association cannot be construed as a reasoned and speaking order. 

Being aggrieved by such non-speaking order, AIAPC filed OA No 1296/2018 and the Hon’ble CAT Chandigarh Bench was pleased to issue notice to the Respondents for filing reply within four weeks.

So the Legal Battle is on. 

AIAPC is made for PM Cadre.
